How we rate and review
Our guides explain crypto mechanics using dated primary sources. This page sets out the evidence limits, checks readers can make and how to request a correction.
What we check
Checks to make before using a venue
- Legal entity and activity. A regulator label is not enough. Match the entity in your account terms with the official register and confirm that the relevant activity and product are covered.
- Custody and withdrawals. Read who controls keys, insolvency terms, withdrawal rules and security controls. A feed score does not measure these points.
- Live costs. Confirm spread, trading fee, payment and withdrawal costs in the venue’s current preview. Feed summaries are not live quotes.
- Product and jurisdiction. Confirm that the product is lawful and available to retail customers where you live. Do not infer access or protection from a global brand name.
Accuracy
How we fact-check & how often we update
When comparisons are published, venue facts on listing cards come from a structured upstream feed and can be missing, simplified or stale. They are not a substitute for the legal entity's current terms, official regulator record or final order preview. We avoid return predictions and guaranteed-profit claims, and we publish dated, primary-source citations on educational guides.
Start with our exchange due-diligence checklist, then read the risk and leverage page. If a card conflicts with a primary source, email us.
Who reviews
The CryptoSherpa editorial desk
Pages are published under the CryptoSherpa editorial desk. We model it as an honest collective editorial voice rather than a fabricated named “expert.” No named regulated financial adviser, lawyer, accountant or security auditor is currently assigned as a site-wide reviewer.
AI & human review
How we use AI
Editorial tools may help draft and structure content. They do not alter the source facts or the score mapping used when comparisons are published. Each evergreen guide now names its jurisdiction, source-check date and review status; a guide does not claim specialist review unless a real named reviewer is displayed.
